Steelfibres and steelfiber concrete is a product that has been in the construction market for over 45 years but is still regarded as being “new”. Standard applications where steelfibers are being used today are mainly ground supported floors, shotcrete for tunnel linings and some precast elements such as concrete pipes. Development on steelfiber concrete is however continuing on different levels. Universities are continuing the research on the behavior of the material, standard committees such as CEN and ACI  are working on national codes and fibre producers are developing more performing fibres.
The presentation will give a 360° view on the current status of steelfiber technology, its applications and the latest developments.
